perk up plus was created as an expansion to amika’s dry shampoo collection. utilizing scalp-nourishing ingredients for consumers that are looking to go longer in between wash days.

GWP - gym bag using the perk up plus pattern

 

design process

perk up plus is amika’s second dry shampoo, a stronger version of the fan
favorite perk up dry shampoo. our main goal for this launch was to create
differentiation between the two products so perk up plus can stand on its own.

RD1: we began exploring various pattern and color way options that
were visually different from the original perk up full color pattern.

RD2: after the initial batch of options we focused on the
3 color pattern. we began sorting through color details,
making our brand orange the most prominent color.

 
 

RD3: for the last round we finalized pantones and type treatment.
we also explored spelling out “plus” and using the symbol “+”
in the primary name.
